Joachim Waagaard Motorsport was founded in 2013, but the motorsport roots go way beyond this. Joachim started racing gocarts at the age of 10 and then moved into cars and drifting at age of 17. He has built everything from Nissans to BMWs, road-cars, race-cars and drift cars.
One of the most profiled individuals in the drifting and Gatebil community in Norway, with numerous features in magazines and on the world wide web. He is one of the top drivers in Norway with valuable experience as a mechanic for Fredric Aasbø in USA, Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Europe. Joachim Waagaard has a large fanbase with over 30 000 followers on Facebook.
In 2015 he was invited to The Goodwood Festival of Speed as the first ever scandinavian drifter to take part of the famous event.
He currently holds a Drift Allstars pro license running the GS Bildeler Sonar Tire BMW M4 in the Extreme Drift Allstars Championship.
